Parliament approved the new bill submitted by the government led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to curtail the powers of the Supreme Court and introduce new judicial reforms so that it cannot influence the decisions of the government.When the new reform bill was presented to the Israeli parliament or ‘Knesset’, 64 people voted in favour of the bill. The government has decided to cut off the privileges given to former presidents outside of the Presidential Privileges Act. According to the Presidential Privileges Act, a former president is only entitled to a pension, a house, three vehicles, fuel and a private secretary.
