Natalie Portman was told to get ‘as big as possible’ after she returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Thor: Love and Thunder movie.
While speaking with Variety, the actor disclosed her drastic physical transformation for the upcoming film.
She explained the outlet: “On Black Swan, I was asked to get as small as possible.
“Here, I was asked to get as big as possible. That’s an amazing challenge — and also state of mind as a woman.”
News reports say when Portman starred in the psychological thriller, she weighed merely 98 pounds (44.4 kg or 1568 ounces), a significant difference while reprising the role of Jane Foster.
The last time Portman appeared in a Marvel flick was 2013’s Thor: The Dark World.
But now, she’ll once again step into the shoes of the astrophysicist and Thor’s ex-lover, who becomes Mighty Thor will be when she gains her new superhero abilities.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be theatrically released on July 8.
