Pakistan has a target of 342 runs to win the first Test match against Sri Lanka.The Sri Lankan team, which played the second innings of the match, scored only 337 runs on the fourth day of the match today.Dinesh Chandimal scored an unbeaten 94 runs and Prahat Jayasuriya was dismissed for four runs as the last wicket of the innings.Kusal Mendis scored 76 runs and Oshadha Fernando scored 64 runs for Sri Lanka innings.
The Supreme Court has ruled to dismiss a fundamental rights petition filed requesting an order to revoke Acting President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s position as a Member of Parliament.This order has been given by the three-member Supreme Court bench comprising of Gamini Amarasekara, Shiran Gunaratne and Janak de Silva.The petition was submitted by Mr. Nagananda Kodithuvakku, the secretary of the Praideh Peramuna.Announcing the verdict, the bench noted that the petition was rejected by accepting the objections presented by the lawyers who appeared for the respondent.

A shipment of 95 Octane petrol arrived in Sri Lanka on Wednesday, the 13th of July, Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) Managing Director, Manoj Gupta confirmed.In a Twitter message, he said that LIOC will shortly commence the distribution of 95 Octane Petrol to its fuel stations from its Trincomalee Terminal.Manoj Gupta further said that 02 million liters of Petrol will also be distributed today in 125 bowsers from the Trincomalee Terminal.He said the LIOC is determined to release maximum supplies, adding that operations at its Trincomalee Terminal have continued incessantly
