According to the Private Security Deputies Regularization Act No. 45 of 1998, the Ministry of Defense has taken steps to update the license conditions for the regulation and registration of private security deputies currently registered under the Ministry of Defence.

Accordingly, every registered organization must submit applications for the next 02 years, 03 months before the validity period of the license expires, and operating beyond the license period without permission is an offence punishable under the Private Security Deputies Regularization Act No. 45 of 1998.

More information about this has been published on the website www.defence.lk. It is also stated that the applications for the extension of the private security agency license period and registration have been posted on the above website.
