According to Education Minister Dr. Susil Premajayantha, it has been decided to run schools continuously from next Monday till November without the August holiday.
Covering the curricula that are severely impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak and the electricity situation is crucial.
The university system will provide training sessions for the 24 core courses for students taking the Advanced Level Examination this year.
According to Minister Premajayantha, this initiative is intended for kids who haven’t been able to complete their schoolwork correctly during the past two years as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak and the ongoing crisis in the nation.
As a result, teachers will be able to get children ready for the test using new instructional resources.
The Advanced Level test will take place from November 28 to December 23 after the Grade 5 Scholarship Exam, which was postponed, is administered on November 27.
The Minister stated that in order to make up for the missing coursework, classes would be held from next Monday until the end of November without any breaks.
The Minister added that studies using scientific techniques have already been carried out to determine the present performance levels of kids who dropped out of elementary school in Grades 1 and 2 and are now enrolled in Grade 3. The next educational activities for those kids will be arranged in light of those reports.
After presenting appointment letters to 155 officials who received identical marks in the Sri Lanka Principal Service 2018/2019 restricted competitive test, he disclosed these details. New appointment letters from the Sri Lanka Principal Service were given to them.
