Ukrainians are reportedly signing a petition to give Ukrainian citizenship to Boris Johnson, who is leaving the leadership of the British ‘Conservative’ party and resigning as Prime Minister. It is also said that the petition has already received 2,500 signatures.
Boris Johnson is loved and respected by Ukrainians. As the British Prime Minister, it was Johnson who provided financial support to the Ukrainian government and provided weapons and training to the Ukrainian army.
In support of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Johnson visited Ukraine on two occasions to check on the well-being of Ukrainians. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Boris Johnson also have a close friendship.
The Prime Minister of Britain is held by the leader of the ruling party. The current ruling party is the ‘Conservative’ party. Johnson lost the party leadership because he was unpopular with party delegates and ‘Conservative’ MPs.
