The price of gold in Sri Lanka has seen a significant drop, according to local gold dealers.
The price of a sovereign of 22-carat gold that had hit a record price of Rs. 200,000 in the past has decreased to Rs. 166,000.
Meanwhile, the price of a sovereign of 24-carat gold has also decreased to Rs. 180,500.
