The Department of Meteorology says that some rains may occur in the Western Province and Galle and Matara districts today (21).
The department states that there may be rain or thundershowers in the rest of the island in the evening or at night.
Some places in Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces received mm. Heavy rains above 75 may occur and occasional winds per km in Hambantota and Matara districts. (40-50) strong winds are possible.
The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
