The Department of Meteorology says that there will be rain or thunder from time to time in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Northern provinces and in Galle, Matara and Puttalam districts in today (18). The Department of Meteorology further states that there may be heavy rains of more than 50 mm in some places.
Eastern, Uva, Central and North Central provinces and Hambantota districts will experience scattered showers or thundershowers in the evening or at night.
