The Department of Meteorology says several rain periods may occur in Galle and Matara districts today (18). Also, the department stated that there may be some rain in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, while the rest of the island will be mainly without rain.
The Department of Meteorology further stated that the winds blowing from time to time in the North, North-Central and North-West provinces and Trincomalee and Hambantota districts may become strong winds between 40 and 45 kilometres per hour.
