The Department of Meteorology says that some light rains may occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts today (06).
The department stated that there is a possibility of rain or thundershowers in a few places in the Eastern Province during the evening or at night. The rest of the island may experience mainly rainless weather.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
