Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka, President of the Samagi Jana Balawega, says that he is ready to take over the presidency if he is invited by a majority of members of the Parliament with the agreement of the Samagi Jana Balawega.
Sarath Fonseka mentions that he is continuously getting invitations from SLPP to take over the post of Prime Minister.
He says that he faced many challenges while leading the war and that he does not hesitate to accept challenges for the country.
Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka further stated that if he is entrusted with the responsibilities for the country, he will win the cause of the people who are engaged in the struggle and work to win the country.
