Yesterday, a senior member of the Finance Ministry announced that all payments, including the government sector employees’ July salaries, pensions, and allowances, will be issued on time.
According to the source, the Treasury has already allotted Rs. 92 billion to pay public sector employees’ wages, while Rs. 25.5 billion would be set aside to pay for pensions.
He said that the rumors that it would be impossible to pay government employees’ salary this month were absolutely false and that there was no problem with doing so.
