President Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to leave for India on July 21 for a two-day official visit. The Indian media reports that the President is scheduled to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi there.
Fisheries Minister Douglas Devananda, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara, Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Sabri and Presidential Staff Chief Sagala Rathnayake are also scheduled to join the President’s visit to India.
The Indian media further reports that bilateral discussions will be held between the two countries regarding many fields during this visit. Also, this is the first time that Ranil Wickramasinghe will visit India after assuming the office of President.
