Yesterday (09), the Sri Lankan team managed to win the final match of the ICC World Cricket Cup qualification tournament by 128 runs. The Dutch team won the toss and invited the Sri Lankan team to bat first and they scored 233 runs in 48 overs.
In batting, Sahan Arachchige scored 57 runs as his maiden ODI half-century, Kusal Mendis scored 43 runs, Pathum Nissanka scored 23 runs and Charith Asalanka scored 36 runs. In bowling, Ryan Klein took 2 wickets, Saqib Zulfiqar 2 wickets, and Vikramjit Singh managed to break 2 wickets.
The Dutch team, who played the reply innings, managed to score only 105 runs after 24 overs. In bowling, Dilshan Madushanka managed to take 3 wickets, Maheesh Theekshana 4 wickets and Wanindu Hasaranga 2 wickets for the Sri Lankan team.
Accordingly, Sri Lanka qualified for the 2023 Cricket World Cup by winning all the matches held in the ICC World Cricket Cup qualification tournament.
