Yesterday (24) morning, President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Japanese Ambassador Mizukoshi Hideaki had a meeting at the President’s Office. President Ranil Wickremesinghe was greeted by the Emperor Hironomiya Narahito through the Japanese Ambassador, and the two then spoke amicably.
The 70th anniversary of former President J.R. Jayewardene’s speech at the San Francisco Peace Conference will be commemorated on September 6 with a special celebration co-sponsored by the Japanese Embassy and the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation. The Japanese Ambassador and President Wickremesinghe also discussed this.
