Cabinet has approved the restart of international operations at Jaffna International Airport on July 1, 2022.
Following the completion of the reconstruction project with India’s assistance, the Palaly airport reopened as the Jaffna International Airport on 11 November 2019.
Although international operations at Jaffna’s international airport were started in November 2019, ensuring the basic international monitoring standards, they have been stopped since March 2020 because to the COVID-19 pandemic.
