After years of fan speculation, GTA’s developer, Rockstar Games, confirmed in February this year that they have finally begun development on GTA 6, much to the delight of gamers everywhere.
In a post for Rockstar games blog Newswire, the company wrote: “With the unprecedented longevity of GTA V, we know many of you have been asking us about a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series.
“With every new project we embark on, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we have previously delivered — and we are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway.
“We look forward to sharing more as soon as we are ready, so please stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for official details.”
Sadly, Rockstar hasn’t given us a confirmed release date or really any information since that update.
While there hasn’t been any official news in months about the plot, there have been some rumours about what could be in the sixth game in the series.
One post from RapTV suggested that GTA 6 was going to ‘take place in Colombia/Miami and could be here as soon as 2023’.
Another post from Watcher.Guru claimed that the GTA 6 ‘will include in-game cryptocurrency rewards for players to earn and trade’.(ladbible)
