The Cabinet has approved a proposal presented by the Ministry of Power and Energy to construct a 200 MW floating solar power plant on Samanalaweva reservoir.
Accordingly, it has been decided to invite proposals from interested international and local investors for 2 projects of 100 MW each for floating solar power plants.
