The Department of Meteorology says that except for the northern and eastern provinces, rain or thundershowers may occur at places after 2:00 p.m. today (26).
The department stated that some places in Sabaragamuwa province and Galle, Matara and Kalutara districts may experience heavy rains of about 50 mm. In the morning, foggy conditions may prevail in some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces.
The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
