The government has decided to extend the special merchandise tax imposed on imported potatoes for another 04 months.
Accordingly, the special commodity tax for imported potatoes will be implemented from September 8th for the next 4 months.
The Ministry of Finance has taken steps to impose a special commodity tax of 50 rupees per 01 kg for imported potatoes from March 8 this year.
