According to the latest reports released by the Meteorological Department, showers are expected in many parts of the island due to the turbulent nature of the lower atmosphere.
It also states that the sky will be overcast in many parts of the island and showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Northern provinces.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in other parts of the island during the evening or night. The report further states that there could be around 75 mm of rain.
