Turkish President on a visit to Saudi Arabia

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in Saudi Arabia, starting a tour of the Gulf countries. It is said that the purpose of the Turkish President’s visit is to strengthen Turkey’s economy by getting foreign projects for Turkey. In the coastal city of Jeddah, the Turkish president was warmly welcomed by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

After completing his visit to Saudi Arabia, the Turkish President will visit the United Arab Emirates and then Qatar. The Turkish President also participated in a Saudi-Turkish business meeting. Al Jazeera news agency has said that business meetings are scheduled to be held in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

The Saudi government has expressed its willingness to buy unmanned drones manufactured in Turkey. It is said that Turkish President Erdoğan also signed the agreements related to that deal. It is also said that this deal will help to strengthen the Turkish economy, which is in crisis. Turkish President Erdoğan visited Saudi Arabia accompanied by a group of Turkish businessmen.

Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said that he is ready to meet with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, but he is not ready to return the Turkish troops held in Syria. Turkish President Erdoğan said as he prepares to start his visit to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

In the Syrian civil war, Turkey supports the official Syrian opposition political groups. Turkish President Erdoğan has indicated that Turkey has never left the talks with the Syrian government and that Turkey is ready to resolve anything through negotiations. (Reuters)
