Malayalam Film Producers Association (MFPA) President and two top film directors called on Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena at Temple Trees on Sunday (15).
MFPA President Joseph Anto Athirampuzha, Directors Narayanan Mahesh and C. V. Sarathy disclosed their plan to shoot a Malayalam mega film in Sri Lanka in November this year. They said two Super Stars of Malayalam cinema Mammootty and Mohanlal will star in this film and location shooting will be in Sri Lanka for 30 days. The rest of the shooting will be done in Kerala, Delhi and London.
“This is the first time in 20 years that Mammootty and Mohanlal will act together in a film and it will definitely be a blockbuster,” Director Mahesh said.
The Prime Minister thanked them for selecting Sri Lanka as a film location and said it will not only bring foreign exchange to the country but also help promote film locations and tourism in Sri Lanka.
