Today (18), the Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur at places in the evening or night in Central, Uva, Eastern, Northern and North Central provinces.
The department states that some rain may occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts.
The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
