The Department of Meteorology predicts that there will be rain or thunder in the evening or night in Sabaragamuwa, Central, North Central, Uva, South, North West and Eastern provinces.
Also, it may rain in the morning in the eastern, Uva and southern provinces, while the sky is heavy with clouds in the northern, central and eastern provinces, said the department.
Meanwhile, some places in Sabaragamuwa, Central, North Central, Uva, Southern and Eastern provinces may experience heavy rains of more than 75 mm.
Also, the Department of Meteorology further requests the public to take necessary measures to minimize the temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
