The Department of Meteorology says that it is expected that the current rain situation across the island will decrease somewhat.
The department states that several rainy seasons may occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western and Northern provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Uva, Eastern and North-Central Provinces may experience rain or thundershowers at some places during the evening or night.
The Department of Meteorology requests that people take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
