The Department of Meteorology says that the South-Eastern Bay of Bengal and the adjacent low-pressure area have moved westwards towards the northwest and are currently in the south-central Bay of Bengal sea area.
The department said that the system is moving westwards towards the northwest and developing into a depression in the next 12 hours, with a high possibility of reaching the Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coast.
Occasional winds in North, North-Central and Eastern Provinces. It is said that there is a possibility of strong winds around (40-50).
There may be some rain in the Northern, North-Central and Eastern Provinces, while the rest of the island will have mainly rainless weather conditions.
