Ceylon Private Bus Owners’ Association says that it was pointed out to Central Bank Governor Dr Nandalal Weerasinghe that the price of bus spare parts has gone up with the rise of the dollar.
According to that, the Central Bank Governor stated that the situation will be reduced to a great extent in the future.
Also, the Ceylon Private Bus Owners’ Association further stated that they had requested the Governor of the Central Bank to provide support for running passenger buses without a conductor (Wallet System) and the Governor of the Central Bank said that he would provide full support for that.
