The Department of Meteorology says that a few showers may occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts today (20). But the department mentioned that there is mainly rainless weather in many parts of the island.
The Department of Meteorology further stated that the winds blowing from time to time in the western slopes of the Central Highlands, in the North, North-Central and North-West Provinces and in the Trincomalee Hambantota and Monaragala districts may become strong winds between 40 and 45 kilometres per hour.
