The Department of Meteorology says that there will be several periods of rain in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces and in Puttalam, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts today (16).
Eastern and Uva provinces and Mulativu districts will experience rain or thundershowers at a few places during the evening or night.
The western slopes of the central hills, the north-north-central and north-western provinces, Trincomalee and Hambantota districts will experience some strong winds at times.
