The Department of Meteorology says that today (16) there may be some rain in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
The department stated that there is mainly rainless weather on the rest of the island.
The Department of Meteorology further stated that the winds blowing from time to time in the Northern, North-Central and North-Western provinces and Trincomalee, Hambantota and Monaragala districts may become strong winds between 40 and 45 kilometres per hour.
