According to the Department of Meteorology, the turbulent condition of the lower atmosphere continues near Sri Lanka.
The department states that there is a possibility of occasional rain in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western and Northern provinces and in Anuradhapura, Galle and Matara districts.
In some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-West and Northern provinces, a high rain of 75mm is possible.
Uva, and eastern provinces are likely to experience scattered rain or thundershowers during the evening or night.
The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
