Today (27th), the Department of Meteorology announces that it will rain from time to time in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.
In Sabaragamuwa province, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts, heavy rains of more than 75 mm may occur in some places, the announcement said.
Scattered rain or thundershowers will occur in the rest of the island during evening or night.
The Department of Meteorology has further said that some places in Uva province, Ampara and Batticaloa districts may experience heavy rain of about 75 mm.
