The Department of Meteorology states that there will be occasional rain or thundershowers in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces and Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts today (09).
In Western and Sabagaramuwa provinces, in Puttalam Galle and Matara districts, there will be some heavy rains of about 50 mm.
Anuradhapura and Mannar districts may experience some rain. The Department of Meteorology also states that rain or thundershowers will occur at a few places in the Batticaloa and Ampara districts during the evening or at night.
