The Department of Meteorology says that there may be occasional rain or thundershowers in Western, Sabaragamuwa, South, Central and North-West provinces today (03).
The department stated that some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces may experience heavy rains of about 100 mm. Eastern and Uva provinces may experience scattered showers or thunderstorms during the evening or night.
The Department of Meteorology exhorts individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
