The US State Department has emphasized that it recognizes the disputed state of Arunachal Pradesh as part of India.
However, the Chinese Ministry of Defense has said that the state of Arunachal Pradesh, which is adjacent to the Chinese border, belongs to China as it is a part of Tibet.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently visited Arunachal Pradesh. It was confirmed that the state belongs to India.
