The trial of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to resume on corruption charges.

The Attorney General had recently ordered the temporary suspension of this trial, which has been going on for several years, because of an emergency based on the Israeli-Hamas conflict.

However, now a Jerusalem court is ready to hold the trial related to the corruption charges against the Prime Minister, the Israeli media points out.

There have been allegations of abuse of Prime Ministerial powers, fraud and bribery. In addition, there have been allegations of breach of trust as Prime Minister. The charges were filed in 2019. Not only Prime Minister Netanyahu but also his wife Sara have been accused.

Netanyahu is the longest-serving Prime Minister of Israel. Netanyahu has denied all the accusations against him and his wife.
