The Department of National Museums says that the artefacts returned to Sri Lanka by the Netherlands will be exhibited at the Colombo National Museum from today (05) onwards.

These artefacts, found in the royal palace of Kandy by the Dutch in the 18th century, were recently returned by the country’s government.

This collection of antiques includes the cannon of Lewke Disaawa, two gold chestnuts, two knives, silver chestnuts, and two guns.
