The commission appointed to investigate the fires and other destructive incidents that occurred in several areas between March 31 and May 15 has been extended.
Accordingly, President Ranil Wickremesinghe has issued a special gazette notice extending its period until the 30th of November.
Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa had appointed the commission to look into the related incidents and submit a report before August 31.
