The Sri Lankan squad named for the 2023 World Cup cricket tournament has received the approval of the Sports Minister today. Accordingly, Kusal Mendis has the vice-captaincy of this squad led by Dasun Shanaka.
Kusal Mendis, Kusal Janith Perera, Pathum Nissanka, Dimuth Karunaratne, Charith Asalanka, Dhananjaya de Silva, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Kasun Rajitha, Dunith Wellalage, Matheesha Pathirana, Lahiru Kumara have been included in this squad.
Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana and Dilshan Madhushanka are to be added to the team based on physical fitness and Chamika Karunaratne and Dushan Hemantha have been included as additional players.
