It is reported that a large number of water pipes belonging to the Aranayaka Asupini Ella water project, which was to be opened today under the leadership of President Ranil Wickramasinghe, caught fire yesterday (19). Engineers say that millions of water pipes were here.
The fire broke out while these water pipes were being stored at the Aranayaka Ussapitiya Public Stadium and all the water pipes belonging to the Aranayaka Asupiniella Water Project were there, the engineers said. The fire department of the Mawanella local council and local residents are working together to fight the fire.
