The Nobel Prize in Economics goes to an American economic historian

This year’s Economics Nobel Prize was awarded to Professor Claudia Goldin, an American economic historian. It was in recognition of her work for women’s employment and wages.

Claudia Goldin is the third woman to win the Nobel Prize in Economics.
