According to the agreement made with China’s Sinopec Company, the first fuel stock order will reach Sri Lanka by the first week of next month, said the Minister of State for Power and Energy D.V. Chanaka said.
The Minister of State stated that steps will be taken to set a maximum retail price for fuel using the price formula to affect all companies, and its main objective is to create a competitive fuel supply that will benefit the country. The Minister of State also said that he is expected to take the decision regarding the QR code after discussing it with all the parties in the future.
