Mangala Maddumage, a member of the Executive Committee of the Revolutionary Students’ Union, has been arrested by the police.
It is said that he was arrested by the Colombo South Division Criminal Investigation Bureau in relation to an allegation of violating court orders during a protest held on May 19.
However, the Education Secretary of the Vanguard Socialist Party Pubudu Jayagoda states that Mangala Maddumage was abducted by a group of three-wheelers.
