The International Cricket Council has named Sri Lankan spinner Prabath Jayasuriya as the player named for the month of July.
Left-arm spinner Prabath Jayasuriya scored 6 wickets for 118 runs in the first innings and 59 runs in the second innings against Australia in Galle.
Also, due to his performance in the tournament against Pakistan, he was recommended for the player of the month for the month of July.
Apart from him, Jonny Bairstow of the England team and Gustav McKeon of the French team were nominated for the player of the month.
