Mahaweli Authority of Sri Lanka has decided to temporarily close the road through the Udawalawa Dam from today (15) due to essential maintenance work.
Accordingly, the Mahaweli Authority stated that the road will be closed in several stages until January 15.
The road will be completely closed from today to December 22, and one lane will be closed from December 23 to January 6.
The road will be completely closed again from January 7th to January 14th, after which the road will be fully opened for traffic through Udawalawa Dam on January 15th.
