A freighter carrying gas is to sail into the port tomorrow, a senior official of LAUGFS Gas Lanka said.
He said the LAUGFS gas supply had not been done for more than three months due to the fact that the country had been unable to get down the stocks with the current dollar crunch.
“We are in the process of finalising the payment for the consignment. No sooner the ship arrives, we will inform our valued customers,” he said.
The company requested the consumers not to wait in queues to buy domestic gas cylinders.
