Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena has signed the Electricity Amendment Bill.
Accordingly, the Communications Department of the Parliament of Sri Lanka stated that the Act will come into effect from today (15).
This Bill will make it eligible for a person to apply for a license to generate electricity.
