Popular Colombian singer Shakira has been accused of tax fraud. A trial on those charges will be held in Barcelona.
It is also reported that the prosecution has requested that Grammy award winner Shakira be given an eight-year prison sentence.
Shakira, 46, is accused of defrauding the Spanish state of 14.5 million euros ($15.7 million) based on earnings earned between 2012 and 2014. Shakira has strongly denied these allegations.
